i am a fan of most music. let it be known i do not like techno. my point being--dolly parton speaks to the soul in 9 to 5. i feel like if my life were a soundtrack, dolly's twang would be serenading me on the subway while i am off to the grind.
as it turns out, i am still not a morning person. at least in this sea of change i have some consistency.
the frontier campaign is smooth sailing. this week has been fine tuning and polishing. where we watch the masters and hope they throw scrapes our way.
danielle has been ill this week. which translates into a saga i would like to title taylor-bites-the-apple. i walk determined, know where i am going, and take lunch breaks by myself. which i find a small significant sign of adulthood. minus the whole financially dependent ordeal ;)
perks:
-admiring the architecture
-selecting random restaurants
-the city hum of success
-harassing employees concerning the industry and portfolio work
-catching up with people who are far more interested in the life i live now-v-the previous twenty one years.
things that irritate me:
-the laundromat. which used to be open 24-7, but apparently people don't like the homeless man who lived there.
-the spastic weather. cold is not an option new york. pull it together, it is may.
-how going anywhere requires strategic planning and seemingly ruins spontaneity.
can we go an entire post without mentioning mcdonald's? no. because i am using their tagline to sum up the city: im lovin it.
wish the midge was feeling better, because another constant in my life is living for the weekend and here it commeeesss! play time. cheers.
