Good Fortune, Good Luck

I woke up this morning to find a note left by Tay with sweet-nothings written on it. No, but really Taylor did write a note and she really did abandon me this weekend for a pink and green dress and a bouquet-catching attitude. It will be a long 56 hours (yes, I'm counting), but I'll survive. Taylor will come home to find me in a Dr. Pepper coma, tucked in my bed, watching movies (thank you Rook).

On a happier note, Taylor and I finally went out for desert at the famous Serendipity 3. It exceeded our expectations. Words cannot describe their frrrozen hot chocolate. Mmmmmm (but maybe one letter repeated over and over again can). Although pricey, their food was delightful as well.

We've done a whole bunch of nothing this week at work (typical). We've done a little bit of work for Frontier Communications and LG (not including my LG all-nighter, which was for nothing, of course). All was well after the pitch to Frontier last week until the CEO of Frontier killed the spokes-character. Fred is dead. R.I.P. our little red friend. He was the glue that held everything together, but luckily a decent solution was found within a few days.

Taylor and I have no horrible luck with restaurants here. We haven't eaten at one place that we would ever recommend or eat at again until we ate at PRET. Its right next door to Y&R so we can exert as little energy as possible (sitting all day doing nothing is exhausting). PRET is a sandwich, salad, soup place, but its all made fresh fresh fresh. Absolutely wonderful.

  1. I'm sorry to be THAT person, but desert is actually dessert :) You can remember because you always want 2. (2 s's) It sounds like you're having a spledid time!
